Law Firm, Israels & Neuman, PLC announces that it has launched an independent investigation into Sonya Camarco, formerly of LPL Financial. On August 23, 2017, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a complaint against Sonya Camarco.

The SEC alleged that between 2004 and 2017, Sonya Camarco stole or misappropriated $2.8 million of investor funds. The SEC’s allegations state that Camarco was registered and licensed through LPL Financial between 2004 and August 2017. Camarco worked at a branch office in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

It was further alleged that on numerous occasions, Camarco had drawn checks on her customers’ accounts with checks written out to “C Investments”. Camarco had written the checks without customers’ permission and used that money for personal expenses.

Sonya Camarco was licensed with LPL Financial from February 2004 to August 2017. She worked in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She operated a number of entities, including SDC Advisory, Camarco Investments, Inc. (also known as “C Investments”) and Camarco Living Trust.
